Jacob Bine is a Seabee Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He hails from an Amish upbringing, making him resourceful and capable. He is an intuitive man, who starts out simply trying to survive, and finds himself among some real mixed individuals, but who, for some reason, follows his lead. He senses things no one else can, and sees the big picture when everyone else is trying to find their next meal. He is a planner, yet still able to take action when needed. One of his defining characteristics is his calm demeanor and his reluctance to swear.

Jeff Caruthers just recently won the Gold Medal in the last winter Olympics for the biathlon event. He is a laser focused individual, who seems immune to panic and stress, and his ability with a rifle is preternatural. His beloved mother raised him alone, and she was a font of folksy wisdom which he still hears in his head after she had passed. He is a hard man to get to know, being naturally reticent and quiet, but a more dedicated friend one could never have.

Adrianna Patterson is a tall, svelte, outgoing, Italian beauty, with no shame, and a complete lack of fear. She is the daughter of a local Don, and she is also his primary, and best, hit girl. A natural athlete, with unreal hand-eye coordination, she is likely one of the most lethal people around. She knows it, she struts it, and her sultry personality only makes her scarier. She can be practical to a fault, yet she’s always on the lookout for her next thrill. Pray you’re not her next target.

Thomas Jones is one of the premier underwater welders in the world. One of the most dangerous professions known to man, he is at the top of his profession. He’s also a mechanic, electrician, and so much more. An elite swimmer and deep diver, he stays calm in the face of emergencies that would make most people panic. He listens to those he sees as experts in their fields and learns very quickly.  In a world gone mad he is the calm one who gets things done when, and where, no one else can.

JD Huberton is a Forest Ranger with a checkered past. A big man, he has skills no one can figure out how he got them, and he ain’t talking. He appears to have contacts with a multi-national biker gang, and a level of discipline at odds with his woodsy blue-collar personality. Very bad, scary people treat him with deep respect. There’s far more to him than he lets on.

Chrissy Sunders is a fitness coach and award-winning athlete, who’s stronger than most men. While being a practical young lady, she’s a passionate woman with deep convictions. She’s dependable and a staunch friend to those she likes, but has no issues speaking her mind. She’s good with people, and likes being the center of attention. She’s an expert cook, having taken some culinary schooling, she loves nothing more than to make a big meal for lots of noisy people sitting around a table.

Eric Thompson is a man known to many people. He’s won several summer Olympics with Fencing. He’s a tall, gregarious, open and friend people person who makes friends quickly. He’s as smart and savvy as he is fast with a sword. He’s the guy everyone likes and likes to be around, who’s quick with a smile and always ready with advice.

Doctor Clarissa Peterson is a country doctor with a forceful demeanor and a sharp tongue. She is as good at medicine as she is vocal and opinionated. Some might even say obstinate and argumentative…but not within her hearing. Her powerful personality makes her a force to be reckoned with, and she cares nothing about ordering around anyone within sight of her when necessary.

Corporal Martin Hickman is a Georgian country boy who joined the army. He has a thick southern accent which just screams ‘farm boy’. The Army put polish and discipline on him, making him a dangerous adversary, especially in the woods where he’s hunted his entire life.

Captain Svetlana Norin is a logistics officer in the Russian Army. That’s right, she’s on the other side. She is an experienced officer, with deep familial political ties, who is far more than she appears. Svetlana has a mission, one only she knows about, and nothing will stop her from doing it. Whose side is she on, only she knows, and she is not talking.
